About us
"My passion for vintage watchmaking, together with the study and continuous pursuit of exceptional timepieces featured in more than twenty-five years of publishing projects — each distinguished by the entirely in-house photographic production of every single image — has led me to remain ever more closely attuned to a market that demands increasingly high standards of documentation, clarity and transparency.
One morning in Rome, over coffee with my friend Luca Balella — a long-standing enthusiast of twentieth-century painting and vintage Rolex and Patek Philippe chronographs — the idea of an Archive arose quite naturally, inspired by the archives of the most celebrated artists and by the equally distinguished archives of the world’s most prestigious watchmaking Maisons, which have long served as an essential and natural point of reference for the most discerning collectors of art and timepieces.
Together with Luca, my aim is to offer collectors who wish to do so an opportunity that I chose first and foremost for myself. The most significant timepieces in my own collection were the very first to enter the Archive: I archived what I hold most dear before opening its doors to others. It is that same deliberate and conscious act that I now offer to them: the opportunity to have their own timepieces enter a documentary corpus reserved exclusively for examples of genuine collecting significance, where the identity of each is recognised as worthy of being preserved in time and safeguarded within an authoritative and independent context.”
