While evoking the logic and authority of renowned artists’ archives or of the finest high-end watchmaking maisons, Archivio Pucci Papaleo was set up as a private and independent initiative with a highly ambitious purpose: to create an Archive by recording and meticulously documenting, through a professional Photographic Dossier, only those vintage timepieces considered of great collectible value, according to the personal and discretionary opinion of Pucci Papaleo or of other connoisseurs appointed by the Archive.

03-GUIDELINES
Collectors may submit a request for the registration of their timepieces. The request for admission in the Archivio Pucci Papaleo will require a preliminary analysis of the timepiece, involving each and every component. This procedure will be carried out with integrity, by adopting the same practices and standards used for editorial works.

A key and innovative element of the Archive is the creation of a Photographic Dossier, providing an unalterable visual testimony as well as an exact date. The images realised by our photographers will crystallise the identity of the timepiece at the time of its archiving and will also offer a permanent and verifiable reference point over time.

The expertise acquired through the photographic shooting sessions of vintage watches – gained in over 25 years of editorial projects and works, characterised by the in-house production of each and every single published image – is reflected in the specialized photo shoot pathway to which all the timepieces registered in the Archivio Pucci Papaleo will be subjected.

06-REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
Archiving is exclusively reserved for the timepieces approved on the basis of the personal, discretionary and independent opinion of Pucci Papaleo, or of other connoisseurs appointed by the Archive. The assessment criteria are based upon the state of preservation of the examined specimen as well as on the study of its essential components, which must be consistent, period-correct and appropriate to its serial and reference number.

07-CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION
The Certificate of Registration states the date and the registration number established in the Archivio Pucci Papaleo, and includes a brief comment with regards to the examiner’s opinions that led to the archiving of the timepiece, with possible relevant notes. Furthermore, it will also be accompanied by the photographic survey supporting the assessments provided.

08-MONOGRAPH
The Certificate of Registration, together with the realization of the Photographic Dossier, will constitute a Monograph and will be delivered to the client in a printed format as a dedicated editorial work. Moreover, a digital version will also be produced as an unalterable PDF file, access to which will be provided via a dedicated QR code; its use will be strictly reserved to the client.
